FUTURE Performance Campus

2011 to Today

Our Story

Fifteen years of building Central Ohio’s destination for first class health, wellness and sport.

  1. 2011

    CrossFit Future Launches

CrossFit Future was born out of a passion for fitness in 2011, and it remains the mothership of our campus. Athletes who train here stay for 5, 10, or more years, and they define who we are. For many, Future has become a second home.

CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement across broad time and modal domains. It’s a mouthful, but it’s remarkably precise. You’ll learn new skills, push past old limits, and build strength you’ll use in everyday life. Some workouts are short, some are long, and plenty fall in between.

It’s one of the most comprehensive, well-rounded training approaches anywhere. It’s open to every level, from youth to adult beginners to experienced and advanced athletes, and it won’t disappoint.

    CrossFit Future Expands

We added 4,200 square feet of training space, tore down a wall, and hung a giant ceiling fan. We also added our first team store, showers, and large garage doors with ramps and steps, so we can take workouts outside whenever the season allows (and we often do).

    A New Floor Layout

We pulled up the stall mats and the original rigs. In their place went a seamless floor, two turf runways, and a single unified rig straight down the middle. It’s arguably one of the most efficient, effective, and best-looking functional fitness layouts anywhere.

    Future Gymnastics Academy Launches

Future Gymnastics Academy (FGA) was built in the image of CrossFit Future, with a family-first atmosphere and a contagious training energy. Classes begin with parent-tot sessions for walking-age children. From there they progress through preschool, recreational, advanced recreational, tumbling, and competitive team programs.

FGA Adds a Parent Viewing Area

    FGA Expands Its Preschool Space

FGA took down office walls to create a large, dedicated space for parent-tot and preschool classes. It’s now the first training space you see when you walk in: a welcoming spot to watch the littles and feel the energy of the main gym.

    FutureX Launches

FutureX (FX) brought small group, semi-private, and personal training to campus, plus a premium open gym that complements every discipline. It grew out of FX 0.5, an open gym format built within FGA that ran for three years before folding into the full FutureX gym, affectionately called FX 1.0.

On the cardio side, FX has more than 40 high-end machines: StairMasters, treadmills and incline treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, Echo bikes, BikeErgs, SkiErgs, and rowers.

On the strength side, this is a real gym. It has Rogue power racks, plenty of squat stands, all the bars and plates you need, rows of kettlebells, belt squat machines, jammer arms, Rhino GHDs, 12 Hammer Strength machines, and just enough mirrors to make sure you get your pump on. Oh, and there’s an infrared sauna.
